ASKEW JR. Kenyon L. Askew Jr. is the director of marketing and strategic engagement and an adjunct communications instructor at Nash Community College. He oversees marketing, communications and public relations strategy, along with strategic engagement relations for various stakeholders. Having been affiliated with the institution since 2023, he has developed a year-round program focused on cultivating strong community and stakeholder relationships, managing strategic enrollment, and handling media relations. Mr. Askew remains passionate about the role of higher education in America. He is proud to have managed many high-profile school events during his tenure, including a visit from President Joe Biden in 2023 and reviving an annual public enrollment event. He facilitated a leadership program in the community through the local Chamber of Commerce, for which he developed the full eight-month curriculum. Mr. Askew holds an MA from Queens University of Charlotte and is working toward a DBA in global leadership at California Intercontinental University. He plans to continue building his career in higher education, with the goal of working in executive leadership within a decade and eventually becoming a university president. Bolstered by over a decade of experience, Kelsey B. Halvarson is a rising leader in the fields of marketing and business strategy. In 2009, he founded Egnite Design & Marketing, his own digital marketing firm based in Vernon, British Columbia, through which he assists small and local businesses by providing them with the tools needed to reach wider audiences. Additionally, Mr. Halvarson has excelled as the chief strategy officer of Roadside Dental Marketing since 2022, having originally joined the company in 2015 as the director of search engine optimization (SEO). Mr. Halvarson is uniquely adept at managing and developing growth plans for businesses via SEO and other similar methods. He maintains a heavy focus on the bigger picture for his clients, as he ensures their profits continue to improve over time. Adjacent to his primary endeavors, he also remains active as a civic-minded citizen, providing aid to numerous humanitarian efforts.
