110 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT With more than 60 years of experience to his credit, Mark Fenwick is a seasoned expert in the field of artistry, specializing in creating unique wooden sculptures and large-scale plastic works. He is especially proud to have taken a collection of his fiberglass sculptures across the Gulf of Maine to Port Mouton in Nova Scotia, Canada, in a unique boat he crafted himself. Today, Mr. Fenwick most often works with wood, utilizing trees and materials provided by the Monteverdi Artists Collaborative. The trees are personally chosen, harvested and taken to his studio, FENWICK Sculptor, where they are carved into marvelous creations. He intends to permanently display much of his work in his studio in the coming years. Throughout his time in his industry, Mr. Fenwick has participated in numerous exhibitions and shows, particularly in the northeastern United States and in California; his latest solo show at the Park Hill Orchard in Easthampton, Massachusetts, garnered much attention from his peers. Likewise, he has displayed his work at numerous events at the Hampden Gallery at the University of Massachusetts, in addition to being featured in several magazines. SCULPTOR FENWICK Sculptor Guilford, VT For over 37 years, Mariano Gonzales has been an internationally celebrated fine art metalsmith and educator at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He holds a BFA from UAA and achieved an MFA in metal and jewelry arts at the Rhode Island School of Design. A beloved member of his school’s faculty, Mr. Gonzales serves as the coordinator of illustration and printmaking and teaches foundations, photography, digital arts, metalsmithing, sculpture and painting. Mr. Gonzales is particularly proud to have helped create his university’s metalsmithing and computer art programs. He has earned widespread recognition as a visual artist, with his work having been featured in numerous group and solo shows. These include a solo exhibition at the Anchorage Museum’s Rasmuson Center, as well as “Icebreakers: Alaska’s Most Innovative Artists,” a 2001 group show of contemporary Alaskan artists. He was also featured in an international exhibition in Regensburg, Germany. Now retired, Mr. Gonzales remains passionate about further developing his body of work. In the coming years, he also hopes to continue expanding the sensibilities of the next generation of fine artists through the production of his art.
