116 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT Celebrating over 40 years in the art industry, Alan Daniel Singer has established himself as a multifaceted artist, writer and educator. He earned a summer scholarship to Yale University and attended The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Art in 1972. He later achieved a Master of Fine Art at Cornell University in 1975. Mr. Singer subsequently began working as an artist, writer and curator, illustrating stamps for the United States Postal Service and publishing his essays in magazines and gallery catalogs. After publishing several books, Mr. Singer became a professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he taught for over 32 years. During his time as a teacher, he was also featured as a painter and printmaker in the Jean Geisel Gallery, The Everson Museum of Art, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, and many solo and group exhibitions in the United States and abroad. Looking ahead, Mr. Singer hopes to sell years of his artwork through galleries and other curatorial connections. PROFESSOR (RETIRED) Rochester Institute of Technology Rochester, NY Catherine Tammaro has excelled as a multifaceted artist for nearly five decades in the Toronto art scene and beyond. In 2003, she registered TÀMMARO ART/Design, her sole proprietorship. She excels as a fine artist, designer, author, teacher, musician, poet and graphic designer. She has served on several art juries and public committees as a production coordinator/set designer and an arts worker. Well-regarded for her creative output, Ms. Tammaro has designed noteworthy public artworks and completed private commissions, shows and installations. She has also served as an art instructor and an advisor on several PhD dissertations. In her civic-minded endeavors, she operated as the communications officer for the Wyandot of Anderdon Nation. Likewise, she has excelled in many creative public spaces as a facilitator and teacher and has worked with many other professional and civic organizations over the course of her career. Ms. Tammaro is particularly proud to be able to empower other mixed-race, Indigenous women through a spiritual and creative lens. Attributing her success to her determination and persistence, she looks forward to further developing her artistic practice and serving the community in the coming years.
