Adams is the founder and chief executive officer of JMA Solutions, a management and business development consulting firm offering clients insight from her four-decade career in organizational management. A 25-year veteran of the United States Air Force, she served as an information manager, retiring in 2001 at the rank of chief master sergeant. Her time in the military instilled in her the importance of strong leadership, community outreach, and a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of personnel and contract management, and she completed an associate of science in administrative management at the Community College of the Air Force in 1992. Since 2005, Ms. Adams has focused on consulting and executive leadership with JMA Solutions. In the early 2020s, she moved into the energy and contracting sector as the president and chief executive officer of Ideal Electrical Supply Corporation and the co-owner and co-principal of JMA Energy Solutions, where she continues to pursue growth. As a pillar of the area business community, Ms. Adams is dedicated to creating employment opportunities and mentoring other professional women. In recognition of her entrepreneurial success and outreach, Ms. Adams has been inducted into the Washington, DC Hall of Fame for Business and presented with a 2019 DC Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Choice Award. Her companies have been included in the INC 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in America and one of the DC area’s top workplaces. She credits her success to the influence of her parents and to her commitment to running a family-oriented and employee-focused business. Ms. Adams looks forward to continuing to create economic growth as the new owner of a women’s soccer team and through a pilot program offering training in EV charging station maintenance, among others.
