His childhood interest in electronics and circuitry led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University, and he continued his education with a Master of Science in project management at George Washington University. Mr. Givpoor began his career as a test engineer for Control Data Corporation in 1984. He started to take on executive leadership roles by the mid-1990s, working as the vice president of network operation for Hughes Network Systems before becoming the president and chief executive officer of Cilutions Inc. and the president of Alo Networks. In 2010, he returned to Hughes Network Systems in his current role, serving as the vice president of global services, overseeing global network operations for international organizations. More recently, he took on responsibility for deployment, training and network operation support through AIOps for the Eutelsat OneWeb LEO satellite constellation across 44 global markets. Among his many career highlights, Mr. Givpoor considers his responsibility in the global network deployment for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization as a pivotal achievement. This initiative aimed to curtail nuclear tests and explosions by monitoring seismic activities of ground motion. Furthermore, he is equally proud to have made a positive impact on the world through his dedicated work in the field of technology. Mr. Givpoor credits his success to his perseverance and dedication to improving the world and his industry. He looks forward to continuing his endeavors over the next decade, with a particular focus on stewardship and conscientious leadership, and he is optimistic about the development of new technologies and the opportunities they may create. Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Givpoor remains active in his community as a patron of charities benefiting families in need, and he is a donor to international educational organizations supporting youth in Iran and Northern Africa.
