During this call, the president of the organization offered their thanks for her work on behalf of the foundation and suggested that she become its executive director. Since stepping into this role, Ms. Lanham has secured more than $70,000 in grant funding and has been active in creating community partnerships and relationships with donors, leaders and program participants. Ms. Lanham also remains active as a program manager, trainer and community ambassador, and she hopes to expand her foundation’s curriculum and services to the national level. In recognition of her success with the Life Atlas Foundation, she was featured in Southern Maryland Woman Magazine, received a 2023 Beacon of Light Award, and was named a 20222023 Woman to Watch. Maryanna E. Lanham is a nonprofit executive and financial services expert dedicated to creating change and opportunity through positive leadership training. Since 2021, she has served as the executive director of the Life Atlas Foundation Inc. (formerly known as the Dream Queen Foundation), a nonprofit that offers girls and young women the opportunity to develop as community leaders and innovators. Ms. Lanham originally began her career in the financial services sector after earning a bachelor’s degree in family studies at the University of Maryland and FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses. Previously, Ms. Lanham found success as a partner at the New York Life Insurance Company before pivoting to financial planning in 2014. In 2019, Ms. Lanham became the owner of Athena Financial Services, where she continued to leverage her diverse experience in financial planning and insurance until 2022. During this time, she began working with the Life Atlas Foundation as a volunteer, board member and facilitator of groups for both teens and adults. MARYANNA E.
