Mr. Miller began his career in government as a tax commissioner agent before later becoming the chief deputy auditor and then director of public service and public safety. Afterward, he subsequently joined Duffy + Duffy Cost Segregation Services LLC as a client manager. Currently, he operates as the company’s president and managing partner, with offices in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan. The cost segregation industry remains a highly specialized and technical field, as it adheres to rigorous quality standards and requires extensive knowledge and expertise in construction, engineering and tax code. As one of only 50 cost segregation experts certified by the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals in the United States, Mr. Miller offers niche consulting services. Unlike many cost segregation consultants in the country, who come from careers in engineering and construction, he is uniquely qualified in his field as a CPA. As a financial specialist, Mr. Miller assists clients in navigating the complex, ever-changing income tax code. In addition to his work as a CPA and cost segregation expert, he has served as an adjunct faculty instructor in accounting and finance at Cleveland State University and Lorain County Community College for 18 years. Looking ahead, Mr. Miller aims to drive the mission of Duffy + Duffy forward, centered on educating taxpayers and tax professionals about income tax shielding achievable through cost segregation. A career goal of his is to conduct specialized tax studies in all 50 states. Currently, Duffy + Duffy has completed client engagements in 40 states, as well as in Germany, France and the Caribbean island of Saint Thomas. Mr. Miller and his wife, Cindy, have proudly raised four children, and they look forward to celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary in 2024. For over 26 years, Craig Miller has developed a fulfilling career as a certified public accountant. Prior to his career in finance, he worked for 15 years in state and local government.
