187 Millennium - Seventeenth Edition EDUCATION Charles B. Campbell has distinguished himself as a seasoned professional in the field of law and legal education. Drawing on more than three decades of experience, he has excelled as the dean of Faulkner University's Thomas Goode Jones School of Law since 2020. Likewise, he has served as an associate professor of law since 2007, in addition to holding several other academic leadership positions over the course of his tenure at the institution. Leveraging his particular skills in civil procedure, which he regularly teaches, Mr. Campbell manages the overall operations of the law school, including supervising academic programs, career development offices, curriculum creation, and student admissions and recruitment. Prior to entering academia, Mr. Campbell was deputy chief counsel for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts between 2006 and 2007. He was also an assistant attorney general in Alabama from 2000 to 2005. At the beginning of his legal career, he worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Emmet Ripley Cox on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Mobile, Alabama, between 1993 and 1994. Mr. Campbell remains an active member of the Alabama State Bar, Montgomery's Hugh Maddox American Inn of Court, and the Federalist Society. Mr. Campbell began preparing for his career by pursuing a formal education, originally earning a BS in international business at Auburn University in 1988. He subsequently attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where he earned a JD in 1993. In addition to his academic credentials, he was formerly admitted to practice law by Federal District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Campbell was honored as a Professor of the Year by the Student Bar Association at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2014. CHARLES B.
