191 Millennium - Seventeenth Edition EDUCATION Having accumulated more than 20 years of experience, Arronda Marie Douglas is a proven expert in the field of education. Specializing in academic consulting and both systems and instructional leadership, she has served as a school principal for the Menifee Union School District in California since 2022. As part of her duties, Ms. Douglas identifies strengths and weaknesses in various school systems and ensures all the necessary support is offered to maintain the highest quality of safety, learning and wellbeing for students. Her other responsibilities include overseeing general campus safety, team problemsolving and troubleshooting, parent and community communications, and appropriate school resource allocation. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Douglas worked extensively within the Corona-Norco Unified School District from 2003 to 2021, during which time she excelled as an assistant principal. Likewise, she held several other positions at the Letha Raney Intermediate School between 2012 and 2017, including as a staff developer and instructional coach. Ever committed to her profession, Ms. Douglas is also a member of the Association of California School Administrators and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Ms. Douglas previously cultivated her own higher education, originally earning a Bachelor of Arts in international relations at the University of Southern California in 1982. She ultimately achieved a Master of Education at the University of California, Riverside in 2005. In addition to her academic credentials, she also holds several pertinent certifications in teacher leadership and Microsoft education. Adjacent to her primary professional efforts, Ms. Douglas has remained active as a sponsor for Compassion International since 2007. To commemorate her achievements, she has been honored with numerous accolades, including recognition as the Corona City Council Teacher of the Year in 2015. She was also commended for her leadership ability during crises and difficult situations by the Menifee Union School District in 2022. Attributing her success to her unwavering tenacity and belief in the goodness of others, Ms. Douglas is proud to be the first woman of color to have earned her seat in her district.
