During this time, he decided to invest in his professional skills by pursuing postsecondary education, enrolling at Northeastern Illinois University and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business, management and marketing in 2018. Mr. Capalnas developed a reputation for his attention to detail and in-depth understanding of both the needs of his customers and the unique demands of the construction industry in his purchasing role. In 2017, he was named company director, and in 2020, he adopted a stake in the business, becoming a part-owner. He remains hands-on as an executive, overseeing all phases of client projects from bidding to final results, in addition to managing human resources, client relationships and marketing. Since moving into his leadership role, Mr. Capalnas has helped his company expand its portfolio of luxury projects and grow to a staff of more than 150 contractors. Within the next five years, he hopes to reach clients in a wider geographic area and increase visibility and exposure through new marketing initiatives and strategic partnerships. As a young executive with a family legacy of construction industry success, Mr. Capalnas has been featured in Building Industry Hawaii and other similar publications, and he has been recognized for his involvement in outreach projects for the Alder Correctional Institution and various child services organizations. He considers his work ethic and commitment to client satisfaction and communication as the keys to his success, and he looks forward to creating further change and opportunities as a local business leader.
