Mrs. Houston has also worked diligently to establish an effective work-life balance. Mrs. Houston initially served as a logistics officer in the Army after graduating dean’s list from the United States Military Academy at West Point. She then transitioned to a career in sales for pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Working at Pfizer Inc., Alcon and Quidel during this time, she was notably recognized for performing among the top 10% of sales representatives nationwide for seven of her 13 years in the industry — a hall of fame performance. As her family grew, Mrs. Houston found her frequent travel presented a great burden, so she decided to begin her own real estate business in 2016. Mrs. Houston credits many of her achievements to her Christian faith. Her most cherished accomplishments are those of being a supportive wife, loving mother and active member of a church she helped start over 20 years ago. Likewise, she is grateful to have created a blueprint of success for future generations, outlining how others can achieve even greater successes as entrepreneurs and working parents than she has. As the first person in her family to attend college, Mrs. Houston hopes to instill values of entrepreneurship and hard work in her children and those she mentors. Utilizing her experience as a starting point for others, she anticipates others finding their own greater successes. Looking ahead, she aims to further expand her expertise in boutique residential real estate development and provide homeownership to Atlanta residents who require workforce or executive housing in underserved communities. A fourth-generation veteran of the United States Army, Alisha Houston has found success in the real estate industry.
