Outside of his work with AM Technical Solutions, he serves as a consultant for MYP Maquetas, a Mexican architectural design firm for which he provides a public face in the United States. Prior to his current endeavors, Mr. Matschek was an architect for numerous companies in various international locales from 1977 onward. He is particularly proud to have managed the design and construction of the Argo Trust Home, which established new residences in New Zealand for young adults with profound intellectual and physical disabilities. His collaboration with talented designers was particularly gratifying and earned the enduring gratitude of parents. Mr. Matschek is also gratified to have designed commercial mixed-use buildings on three continents. Closer to home, he designed the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, a testimony to the history of the aviation industry and home to the Hughes HK-1 flying boat, perhaps better known as the “Spruce Goose.” Mr. Matschek is also an avid adventurer. While serving in the United States Coast Guard, he was trained to carry out rescue missions handling small boats and advanced search and rescue procedures. The advanced training and experience granted him clearance to work at any Coast Guard duty station in the world. He also works as a high-performance driving instructor, giving back the skills and decades of driving experience to a new generation of drivers. Mr. Matschek attributes his success to his resolve and ambition, as well as his sense of curiosity for the world around him and thirst for knowledge.
