Initially based in Colorado, Ms. RaubFortner moved to Montana in 1989 during a boom in real estate and natural resources in the region. She joined the staff of a timber company working in land acquisition and in the process gained an in-depth knowledge of the state’s geography, building potential, and communities. This expertise proved essential when she pivoted to full-time real estate brokerage, giving her a unique advantage in matching properties to clients and scouting new opportunities. Ms. Raub-Fortner prides herself on her unconventional client-centered approach and strives to support each client throughout the process of finding and closing on their dream property. She credits her success to her flexibility in the face of change and constant pursuit of continuing education and advises others interested in the field to be creative and prepared for market fluctuations and technological developments. Ms. Raub-Fortner holds a bachelor’s degree in humanities from the University of Montana and remains active in the natural resources sector as the executive director of Holms Energy Development Corp. Outside her work in real estate and development she is an avid singer, instrumentalist, and the founder of the Missoula Community Chorus, of which she is a member.
