Ms. Stevens is proud of the work she has done to bolster women’s careers both in the United States and abroad. For her exemplary work in real estate, Ms. Stevens received the Realtor of the Year Award from the Houston Association of REALTORS in 2018, and she was named an Outstanding Realtor by the association in 2014. Also in 2014, she won the title Member of the Year from the Women’s Council of REALTORS. Ms. Stevens hopes to continue serving in the field and giving back to her community for many more years. Looking ahead, she intends to mentor future industry leaders to ensure the longevity and prosperity of their careers. Though Ms. Stevens is still active in her own career, she plans to take a step back to make more time for her hobbies, spend time with her family, and travel. After receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Houston in 1974, Jo Ann Stevens began working in real estate, marketing and advertising. She is an accredited buyer’s representative and has received several pertinent industry designations, including Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI) and Performance Management Network (PMN) from the National Association of REALTORS. Since 2010, she has worked with Lane Real Estate, a Texas-based real estate firm. In 2018, Ms. Stevens served as national president for the Women's Council of REALTORS. Under her leadership, they launched a new model for local real estate networks around the country. They also partnered with a Spanish real estate organization with similar purposes and goals, signing a letter of intent with the company. So far, the Women's Council of REALTORS has traveled to Spain three times to speak and work with the women in their partner organization, advising them on how to find success in the JO ANN STEVENS REALTOR Lane Real Estate Richmond, TX
