He began his career in 2011 as a field engineer for Turner Construction after completing both a Bachelor of Science in architecture and a Bachelor of Engineering in civil engineering from The Catholic University of America. While a college student, Mr. Torrez served as assistant to the general counsel and sacramental records associate with the Archdiocese for the Military Services. Mr. Torrez continued with Turner Construction company as a cost engineer until 2014, when he moved to an assistant project manager position at Digney York Associates in Virginia. He rose to project manager the following year and was named director of preconstruction and business development at the company’s Arizona location in 2021. Since 2023, he has served as the general and project manager at CP Custom Woodworks in Phoenix, Arizona, overseeing production facilities, customer support and business development for the millwork and furniture company, which operates domestic and overseas manufacturing facilities. For Mr. Torrez, success in construction is born from an understanding of the end client — the American traveler. He recognizes the importance of keeping people on the road and providing a space where they can gather and create memories. Focusing on the future, Mr. Torrez is committed to the hospitality industry’s continued development and plans to obtain brand certification from all hotels and become a significant player in the furniture, fixtures and equipment fabrication and logistics environment for hotels worldwide.
