LEWIS (IN MEMORIAM) A third-generation builder in construction, the late Glen A. Lewis served as a managing partner at The Construction Executive Group LLC in Irving, Texas, from 2013 to 2023 He formerly served the company in the same capacity in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, and St. Louis, Missouri. While pursuing this venture, Mr. Lewis was also a project manager for RISE Residential with the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, senior project manager for Raineri Construction and for Midas Construction, and executive director for Ocean Reef Club Sotheby’s International Realty, among other roles. He commenced his career in 1984 as vice president of Citigroup Inc. in New York City. Mr. Lewis held a BA in business administration from Central Methodist University and an MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University. Impressively, he was named the Top Construction Manager for $10+ Million Multi-Family Housing in St. Louis by the St. Louis Business Journal in 2018 and twice earned the Best Custom Built Home Award from the St. Louis Home Builders Association in 1994 and 1995. He was particularly proud to manage the construction project at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida. Phillip Michael has found success as the owner of NJ North Development LLC, a construction company specializing in home building and remodeling. Drawing from the example of his father, who had worked in the construction industry since 1986, he has achieved over $9 million in annual revenue since establishing NJ North Development in 2016. Leveraging the talent of a team of professional plumbers, electricians and contractors, Mr. Michael’s company tackles over 10 luxury home projects annually, in addition to flipping foreclosed properties. Looking ahead, he aims to enter the condominium and retail industry, with plans of building 650 units at a time and creating communities similar to those in Florida. Outside of his work in construction, Mr. Michael serves as the owner of Hounds Town Hillsdale and Hounds Town Hawthorne, two local dog boarding and daycare franchises. Featured in several local publications, the small business was nominated for the Best of Bergen County Award in 2022 and 2023.
