Moore Jr. has recently distinguished himself as an office manager at Beth Moore & Associates, CPAs. Noteworthy for being the largest woman-owned CPA firm in the state of Virginia, the business has garnered a laudable reputation for its personalized customer services. Having entered his role in 2011, Mr. Moore utilizes the many skills he learned as a journalist to establish fruitful and productive relationships with clients. Prior to his current endeavors, Mr. Moore worked in the field of journalism and sports media from 1978 until 1998. Beginning as an editor at the Auburn Plainsman, he went on to work as a columnist, reporter and sports editor at the Huntsville Times, the Pensacola Journal, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, the New York Daily News and the Daily Press in Newport News, where he earned distinction for seven years. Mr. Moore subsequently operated in a freelance capacity for more than 15 years, ultimately departing from the field in 2013. Among his accomplishments, Mr. Moore is particularly proud to have been published in various prominent publications, including the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune, as well as in numerous magazines. In honor of his contributions, he has won over 90 awards from various journalism organizations, including the Associated Press, which recognized him as one of the Top Five Sports Columnists in the United States in 1992. Over the course of his career, Mr. Moore notably contributed as a historian and journalist with the Mariners Museum in Newport News, working with Smithsonian Channel, the Virginia State Library, Virginia War Memorial, and all departments of the United States Armed Forces. A prolific educator, he taught American history and journalism at the high school level until 2004, including at the Calvary Classical School and Summit Christian Academy, and as a guest lecturer in history and journalism at Christopher Newport University, Auburn University, Hampton University, the Virginia Military Institute and the College of William and Mary.
