84 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT For over four decades, Mark Hanigan has found success as a technical writer and business analyst for many leisure and recreation companies and brands. After graduating from the University of Florida in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences, he expected that he would work for oil companies. However, Mr. Hanigan subsequently realized his true passion was writing, so he returned to his alma mater to obtain a degree in journalism. At the onset of his career, Mr. Hanigan served as a business analyst and technical writer for various companies, including IBM, Merck, Nielsen Media Research, Siemens and Lockheed Martin, spending 40 years of his career writing for the information technology industry. Since 2021, he has worked as a senior manager for the Brim Works Global Marketing Platform, run by Universal Destinations and Experiences — a subsidiary of Universal Studios. In this role, he manages a technology team of 12 employees in three different groups, supporting the maintenance of worldwide digital media projects for Universal Studios. Additionally, Mr. Hanigan is a member of the team at On the Write Track Inc., a book publisher and freelance writing and editing service. Through On the Write Track, he published “Treasure of Shorter” in 2023, and he serves as an editor for the book series “Just Beneath the Surface,” which is intended to be a trilogy. His other publication contributions include “Psychology in the Justice System: Second Edition.” As a technical writer, he has conducted speaking engagements in 34 states, five provinces and 15 countries. Looking to the future, Mr. Hanigan plans to continue his tenure at Universal Destinations and Experiences for the next five to six years before considering retirement. He also hopes to continue working on his passion for publishing books with his team at On the Write Track. Furthermore, he is planning to pursue a master’s degree so he may teach at a college level.
