Pollard, RN, has found success in her role as a lead nursing executive at Oracle Health since 2019. She leverages over four decades of experience in nursing and 25 years in clinical informatics — the use of data and applied science to improve and manage longterm care. Well-regarded for her commitment to excellence in nursing leadership, Ms. Pollard leads a team of nurse executives assigned to the implantation of electronic health record systems. Likewise, she is responsible for the clinical executive leadership connection and ownership relationship at the national, regional and local levels with various affiliate hospitals, whose upper management she routinely meets with to ensure they are deploying their electronic health records at the greatest efficiency. Having long felt a calling to the nursing profession, through which she has always sought to create a better life for those under her care, Ms. Pollard initially studied at the University of Lynchburg, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, magna cum laude. Following this accomplishment, she subsequently achieved a Master of Science in leadership and organizational change at Pfeiffer University. In keeping abreast of industry developments, she remains affiliated with the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Nursing Informatics Association. Ms. Pollard first became a registered nurse via the Virginia Baptist School of Nursing in 1981. Prior to her current appointment at Oracle, she served as the managing director of clinical informatics at Centra Health from 2004 until 2019. During this time, she distinguished herself as a pivotal member of the information technology management team, a member of the nursing leadership committee, and as the chair of the executive clinical council. One of Ms. Pollard’s most impressive achievements was the successful implementation of a school of nursing, which received full accreditation and a remarkable 100% pass rate in its first year.
