Looking ahead, she hopes to provide internship opportunities to other emerging health care entrepreneurs and leaders. Nisha Clinkscale is a health care industry entrepreneur and the owner of Heavenly Ink Credentialing Inc. (HIC), which has offered clients expert medical credentialing services since 2020. Since childhood, Ms. Clinkscale has known she wanted to pursue a career in health care. She earned a diploma in medical billing and coding from Virginia College after seeing her aunt, a nurse, transition into the specialty. She continued her education with an Associate of Applied Science from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2016 and entered clinical work as a medical coder. In 2017, Ms. Clinkscale joined MHS LLC as the company’s billing and credentialing manager until 2020. She departed to explore opportunities in entrepreneurship, launching HIC to help clients navigate the complex credentialing and billing accreditation process. As the company owner, she remains hands-on in managing paperwork and processes and developing client relationships.
