Well-versed in publishing, cosmetology, retail management, and imports and exports, Kim Jin Soo Gerhart has notably distinguished himself as an author of children’s literature. Driven to impart moral values to young readers, his books are largely crafted with a valuable life lesson at their core. His first literary work, published in 2020, originated when his then-two-year-old daughter requested a new story — thinking quickly, he was surprised to find that the impromptu format delighted her, inspiring him to continue telling stories in a similar vein for years to come. The title of the book, “Jungle Ellis,” was chosen in honor of her name. Mr. Gerhat’s subsequent works include “How Helga Met Her Friends” and “Hero the Humble Hyena,” both of which were released in 2022. In addition to his literary work, he is an accomplished entrepreneur and nonprofit organizer. Looking toward the future, he has set the lofty goal of writing anywhere from 60 to 100 more books, with more than 20 currently on the horizon. Likewise committed to writing on his nonprofit experiences, Mr. Gerhart anticipates collaborating with illustrators and publishers to fully realize his authorial vision. KIM JIN SOO GERHART
