Well-regarded for her scholarly output, Dr. Amornmarn has presented on numerous subjects at industry conferences and contributed over 25 articles to various professional journals. To remain aware of developments in the field, she maintains her affiliation with such organizations as the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the Florida Radiological Society, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Florida Medical Association and the American Endocurietherapy Society, among others. Dr. Amornmarn attributes much of her success to hard work and the influence of her parents, whose model of ethical fortitude she has long emulated. Looking toward the future, she aspires to influence and preside over even greater improvements in the fields of medical care. With several decades of practiced expertise in the health care industry to her credit, Dr. Rumpa Amornmarn has achieved professional success through her specialization in radiation oncology. As the president of the Osceola Cancer Center, she leads the facility’s efforts in treating cancer patients through intensity-modulated radiation therapy, an advanced approach that utilizes powerful energy beams to kill cancer cells. Proud to have dedicated her career journey to saving lives, Dr. Amornmarn’s experience encompasses more than 45 years of work in the field, during which time she has gained comprehensive knowledge in oncology and its various disciplines. After graduating with an MD from the Siriraj Medical School in Bangkok, where she was lauded for her exceptional grades, Dr. Amornmarn participated in an internship in internal medicine at the Siriraj Medical School Hospital. Following this period, she immigrated to the United States and completed her residency and fellowships in radiology and oncology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Amornmarn subsequently served as a staff member with the East Orange VA Medical Center until 1981.
