In light of his accomplished career, he is proud to have maintained long-term excellence and relevance in the military and defense sectors. He considers his broad range of industry positions and opportunities to be the highlight of his career. Outside his professional ventures, Mr. Hofmann maintains civil flight instructor credentials and has taught civilian small aircraft and helicopter pilots for more than 20 years. He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics, and the Family Motor Coach Association, and he enjoys spending time boating and exploring the country with his wife of more than 45 years. In the coming years, he hopes to turn his focus to mentorship and development opportunities, and he is planning a return to academia to begin doctoral coursework. Mr. Hofmann has been an in-demand security consultant to organizations across various industries for many years. To wit, he has served as an executive technical advisor on cybersecurity risk assessment and mitigation for the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. He was also an advisor for several United States government agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Homeland Security and NASA. In 2006, Mr. Hofmann established CCxH LLC, a consulting firm that draws on his extensive military information background to support clients in national defense, cybersecurity and space manufacturing. He remained owner of the firm until 2012, returning in 2018 after spending several years focused on other pursuits. Since 2023, he has served as an executive advisor on weapons systems cybersecurity and risk mitigation for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, alongside his work with CCxH LLC.
