Likewise, he has been hailed as a Top Doctor in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery since 2018, and he was previously named to America’s Top Physicians in Cardiothoracic Surgery by the Consumer Research Council of America, among many other accolades. Outside of his primary vocation, Dr. Bryan participated in the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in 2008, and he continues to engage in similar competitions. He also enjoys coaching baseball, playing golf, hunting game, and fishing. In accounting for his overall success, he largely credits his perseverance, commitment to self-improvement and longstanding ability to maintain a positive attitude. Looking to the future, Dr. Bryan hopes to focus his efforts on the creation of a more robust cardiovascular program, as well as transitioning to a hybrid role and serving as a mentor to surgeons who can take up his work and achieve prosperous careers in their own right. To remain aware of developments in the field of medicine, Dr. Bryan has maintained his affiliation with several key organizations, including the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, the South Atlantic Cardiovascular Society and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Additional memberships to his credit include the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Heart Valve Society of America, the Society for Heart Valve Disease and the South Atlantic Cardiovascular Society, the latter of which he is a past chairman of. Dr. Bryan is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians and the Southeastern Surgical Congress. Over the course of his career, Dr. Bryan has contributed to the writing of many articles on cardiovascular health and science that have appeared in such medical publications as the Annals of Internal Medicine, the Annals of Vascular Surgery, The American Surgeon, and the Annals of Surgery, among several others. Additionally, he has delivered several presentations before a number of industry conferences and symposia.
