Founded in 2012 as a collaboration between Dr. Jani and her late husband, Dr. Niranjan Natwerial Jani, Community Behavioral Health seeks to provide the highest quality mental health care services on behalf of the local population, featuring an advanced outpatient program, psychiatric rehabilitation, telepsychiatry, and addiction counseling, among many other practice disciplines. Outside of her work at Community Behavioral Health, Dr. Jani serves as the chief medical officer of Maple Shade Youth and Family Services Inc., a psychiatric health clinic with three locations in Wicomico County and Somerset County, Maryland. Specializing in child and adolescent behavioral therapy, the organization works primarily with the underserved population, accepting Medicaid insurance and striving to create a mental health care model that best serves the needs of all area residents. Adjacent to her leadership roles in the field, Dr. Jani is a pediatric emergency physician at Howard County Hospital, having held similar positions at Riverside Hospital, Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, and the Chesapeake Network for the Devereux Foundation. She has also availed herself on behalf of students as an associate professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Georgetown University, and she has served as a subject matter expert for the Defense Centers of Excellence. Furthermore, as a commitment to her field, Dr. Jani maintains her membership with such organizations as the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatry Association, the Maryland Psychiatric Society, the American Academy of Podiatrists and the American Society of Addiction Medicine, among several others.
