After graduating, he went on to attain an MPhil in genetics at Bhopal University in 1978 and a PhD in cell biology at the University of Glasgow in 1984. Dr. Tripathi subsequently completed postdoctoral research at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Emory University, and MIT. Dr Tripathi received an MPH from Columbia University in 2012 and completed Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellowship at Harvard University in 2022. In accounting for his success, Dr. Tripathi credits his commitment to hard work, as well as his deep and comprehensive scientific training. He is also gratified to have built an extensive network of connections via the academic institutions he has worked within. Looking to the future, Dr. Tripathi aspires to bring one last pharmaceutical product to approval and market worldwide, after which he aims to pivot his focus to alleviating the issues faced by blind children around the world. Dr. Satish C. Tripathi is well-regarded for over 25 years of contributions to the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical device research and development. Today, he serves as the president at Biomedical Consulting International (BCI) Inc. Established as a global consulting firm providing development and post-approval services to clients in the health care sector, the company aims to streamline registration of pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical devices worldwide. Prior to joining BCI, Dr. Tripathi worked for the Food and Drug Administration as a pharmacology-toxicology reviewer, after which he held several senior-level positions throughout the pharmaceutical sector, including at Baxter Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Syneos Health, Iveric Bio and Novartis Gene Therapies. During this time, he deepened his expertise in global regulatory affairs and played a significant role in the approval process of various therapeutic remedies, including Zolgensma, a gene therapy developed to treat spinal muscular atrophy.
