From 1993 to 1999, Dr. Haregewoyn worked as a health benefit educator and regional marketing and education director at Maximus – Foundation Health Federal Services. He later joined Automated Health Systems Inc. in 1999 as a project director, rising to become the president of the company in 2008, and he has proudly served in his leadership role ever since. A prolific writer, Dr. Haregewoyn has also published multiple books, including “Leadership: An Incumbent of Faith,” released in 2023, and “Ethiopians in the Diaspora and Their Spirituality: The Influence of the Orthodox Church on its Faithful,” released in 2010. The latter has been used as a social sciences textbook at a number of universities throughout the United States. Ever committed to his civic duties, he is also an ordained minister and secretary general to the Archdiocese of the Orthodox Church in New York. Committed to making a difference in the lives of others around the world, Dr. Haregewoyn remains dedicated to ensuring that his contributions lead to a lasting change that benefits future generations. He attributes much of his success and professional accomplishments to the guidance of his exceptional mentors, an upbringing that instilled in him a drive for excellence, and his commitment to lifelong learning. Originally from Ethiopia, Dr. Moses Haregewoyn immigrated to the United States in 1986. He subsequently attended Georgia State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts, followed by his pursuit of a Master of Arts in sociology at Emory University.
