Daniel R. Ruth is an award-winning nonprofit administrator and pioneer in the field of senior care and assisted living management. His interest in working with the elderly was inspired by his father’s work in the industry. To prepare for his career, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in sociology at York University and a master’s degree in health science and long-term care management. Since the early 1990s, Mr. Ruth has overseen numerous elderly communities as a president and chief executive officer, including The Sharon Home (Winnipeg, Canada), Village Shalom (Overland Park, Kansas), Moldaw Residences (Palo Alto, California), and the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (formerly known as The Jewish Home of San Francisco). In 2022, he organized and became the principal of Dignity Life, offering clients his expertise in operating and managing senior living communities, nonprofit leadership and governance, and philanthropy and fundraising, as well as faithbased community leadership development.
