DOLAS DALE BAIN Responsible for overseeing more than 12,000 students across 15 different schools, Col. Dolas Dale Bain has distinguished himself as the vice president of the Elmore County Board of Education. An experienced board member with a demonstrated history of success in management consulting, he serves as a mentor for both students and teachers, in addition to regularly attending conferences and various school events. Crediting his success to his unwavering commitment to hard work, Mr. Bain is grateful for his abundant military experience; across nearly four decades of service, he is proud to have learned the importance of discipline and maintaining physical health. He was first drafted into the United States Army in 1965 during the Vietnam War, beginning as a private and working his way up to the prestigious rank of colonel before retiring. Aiming to always remain productive, Mr. Bain subsequently served on his local city planning commission and became increasingly involved in public service. Over time, his dedication and commitment to his community earned him the position of vice president of Elmore County Public Schools. Dr. Jashon A. Banks Sr. is a tenured associate professor of criminal justice at Green River College, where he has taught since 2019. His interest in the justice system was born out of the impact that violent crime had on his family and childhood, and he initially hoped to create change as a policymaker. He served proudly in the United States Army and completed graduate-level studies at Colorado Technical University before earning a PhD in criminal justice, law and public policy at Walden University in 2018. Dr. Banks began teaching at Tacoma Community College in 2017. In 2019, he subsequently became the youngest tenured professor at Green River College, where he continues to teach today. Outside of the field of academia, he maintains an educational consulting practice and remains active in community advocacy as a non-law-enforcement representative for the Washington State Patrol. Furthermore, Dr. Banks is a member of the board of the Metropolitan Development Council, serving as an advocate for the BIPOC community and for community reform. DR. JASHON A. BANKS SR.
