Everest is a pioneer in ORM data modeling and an emeritus professor at the University of Minnesota, where he was a distinguished member of faculty for 48 years Recognized for his longevity in the field, he developed a passion for data and its effects on business while working for Shell Oil. In his own academic pursuits, Dr. Everest ultimately achieved an MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PhD in business from the University of Pennsylvania. Well-regarded for his seminal paper “How Computers Help Managers Manage,” he dedicated much of his teaching career to revolutionizing the use of technology to streamline processes and promote collaboration in corporate settings. A noted speaker, author, and advocate for data privacy, Dr. Everest has consulted with policymakers, researchers, and industry-leading companies throughout his career. He continues to publish and contribute to the body of knowledge in his field and is currently working on developing a novel model for database design. PROFESSOR EMERITUS University of Minnesota Minneapolis, MN Dezdemona M. Ginosian is an engineer and professor of mathematics at Antelope Valley College, where she has been a faculty member since 1998. Born in Armenia, she earned a master’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in hydrotechnical structures before immigrating to the United States in 1995. She initially struggled to find work in engineering while developing her English skills and found a position teaching Armenian language and history through a local church. Quickly recognizing her talent for teaching, Ms. Ginosian earned a master tutor certificate from Antelope Valley College, where she also completed English coursework. In 2001, Ms. Ginosian became an adjunct professor of mathematics at Antelope Valley College, rising to full professor in 2012. She teaches sophomore- and junior-level mathematics, including trigonometry, calculus I and II, and college algebra and is a beloved member of several academic committees. Within the next five years, Ms. Ginosian hopes to retire from teaching to focus on fine art photography and creating opportunities for girls and women in STEM. DEZDEMONA M. GINOSIAN GORDON C.
