GREEN-LEE Motivated by a profound desire to inspire women, especially young women of color, Mary H. Green-Lee has served as the dean of instruction at Hightower High School, as part of the Fort Bend Independent School District, since 2016. In this role, she provides oversight for the English language arts department, provides mentorship and professional development opportunities to teachers, and engages with staff members and parents to ensure their students receive the best possible education. Among her accomplishments, Ms. Green-Lee is proud to have diligently addressed various learning gaps, resulting in substantial improvements in such domains. Hailing from nearly four decades of experience in the field, Ms. Green-Lee has led a diverse and exciting career. Having begun as a special education teacher at a public high school in Seguin, Texas, she is also a former actor, with several appearances in community and theater productions, as well as in film and television. A firm believer in the necessity of dedication, hard work and courage, Ms. Green-Lee hopes to continue contributing to academia for several more years before retiring to engage in consultation opportunities. Infusing positivity and sincerity into all of his endeavors, Ewell Gayle Guidry serves as a test coordinator on behalf of the Lafayette Parish School System. In this role, he administers placement tests, which are taken when students transfer from a parochial, private or home school setting into the public school system. The tests determine if a student’s studies align with the public educational curriculum. Prior to his current pursuits, Mr. Guidry distinguished himself in his district as a GED test administrator and guidance counselor. Hailing from a long history of involvement in the field of education, he previously taught junior high school mathematics, beginning in 1966. Mr. Guidry studied at what is now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in administration, supervision and guidance in 1966 and 1972, respectively. To remain aware of industry developments, he previously operated as a member of the Lafayette Parish School Counselors Association. Ever committed to the highest order of civic virtue, Mr. Guidry is also a former honorary recruiter for the United States Marine Corps and Navy. EWELL GAYLE GUIDRY
