Johnson has developed a reputation for positively impacting workplace culture and vision. She holds a BA in psychology from Longwood University and a master’s degree and a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, where she acted as the president of the International Organizational Studies Association. Dr. Johnson currently serves as the global head of GCP/TI organizational effectiveness at Google in Sunnyvale, California. Concurrently, she is on the board of directors as an independent director at USA Karate. Previously, Dr. Johnson was the chief people officer and vice president of people and culture at Zip Co, where she championed organizational values and led teams in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and people partners and operations. She also operated as the global director of people strategy and employee experience at Meta, focusing on strengthening employee experience and promoting the organization’s culture. Before joining Meta, Dr. Johnson was the director of people strategy and innovation at Kaiser Permanente, where she notably led and facilitated numerous strategic efforts. Dr. Johnson also worked as an organizational development lead in the enterprise learning and talent management department at the Charles Schwab Corporation. There, she helped build multi-generational talent pipelines and employed innovative, analytical approaches to risk assessments, workforce planning, executive development, and performance and change management. Prior to her time at Charles Schwab, Dr. Johnson was a senior workforce scientist at Evolv Inc., where she implemented global workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, post-hire data analytics, and change and talent management. Dr. Johnson’s earlier experience includes work at PSI Services LLC as a research strategist and test development professional. Her extensive and varied career showcases her expertise in strategy, talent management, organizational development and executive leadership. Once her time at Google has concluded, Dr. Johnson aims to transition into consulting, coaching and more board positions.
