Entering the industry at an early age, he attended a cosmetology school in 1985 and studied medical aesthetics in 1992 before subsequently establishing the multi-award-winning Anti-Aging Clinic & Dispensary Inc. in 2001. The company has grown to two locations and has been the region’s most trusted medical spa for over 25 years. As an international expert in aesthetics, Mr. Tiessen has educated across Canada and the United States, teaching his protocols privately to doctors and some of the industry’s leading manufacturers. Mr. Tiessen’s clinic exclusively utilizes vegan and cruelty-free products and offers a full suite of cutting-edge, energy-based devices for natural facial rejuvenation, body sculpting and wellness. Treatments focus on collagen stimulation, cellular rejuvenation and muscle activation for the face, along with detoxification, fat and cellulite reduction, and muscle stimulation for the body. The clinic was featured in the Virginia Urology Journal as Canada’s first fully vegan medical spa. Mr. Tiessen’s protocols were also mentioned in The Women’s Journal as more technically advanced, and he was deemed a pioneer in collagen induction therapy. The clinic was also featured in Wish Magazine as a destination for celebrities seeking treatments. Mr. Tiessen has earned over 40 Readers’ Choice awards, including for the Top Cosmetic Clinic and Top Dermatologist for four consecutive years. In 2024, he received the Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s Innovation Award, celebrating local establishments and entrepreneurs. Mr. Tiessen is particularly proud of his contributions to his community and industry, including collaborations with top physicians and manufacturers and his sizeable work in the development of micro-needling in North America. Currently, Mr. Tiessen serves as the director of education for the clean beauty brand ElaSpa®, and he is developing a novel medical device with a U.S. company incorporating new developments in automation. The device is pending trials with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Health Canada and is expected to enter the market within the next year.
