402 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SOCIAL SERVICES AND NONPROFIT The Rev. Moyenda Iyapo Ambakisye’s journey in the church began as a custodian. He later stepped in as a musician and expressed interest in becoming more involved in church maintenance and worship music. His commitment and leadership led to further responsibilities, and he became the church’s minister of music, youth minister and assistant treasurer. Mr. Ambakisye was ordained as a deacon and then licensed to preach in 2005. After being ordained Reverend in 2009, he continued to take on more responsibility, becoming the pastor’s assistant. In 2021, he became the pastor of St. Simon Missionary Baptist Church and has served there since. Before entering the ministry, he honorably served in the United States Navy for 21 years and earned an associate degree in computer electronics and engineering. In the future, Mr. Ambakisye envisions creating a dedicated educational institution within his ministry to equip individuals with the skills needed to teach, minister, and counsel. He aspires to establish this institution as a trusted resource for spiritual education. PASTOR St. Simon Missionary Baptist Church Orange Park, FL Ngozika “Gozi” Egbuonu is a creative and nonprofit-sector professional celebrating more than fifteen years of success in her field. After graduating from Washington and Lee University with a BA in studio art, she began her career as an assistant graphic designer at Tattoo Watches LLC. She continued to work in the fashion industry as a copywriter for HauteLook and then as an e-commerce content coordinator for BCBG Max Azria. Ms. Egbuonu completed an MA in psychology at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology in 2016. She transitioned into the nonprofit sector as a development and communications manager for The Fishing School, and later worked with Network for Good, a donor software organization, to manage their capacity-building program and support nonprofits. Throughout her career Ms. Egbuonu has worked closely with grant makers to provide technology and capacity-building resources to nonprofits. Currently, she is the director of programs for the Technology Association of Grantmakers and a co-host of the Questioning Everything Podcast. She is pursuing doctoral study in the behavioral aspects of health at the Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies.
