Robinson has established himself as a proven business leader in the nonprofit industry. After graduating from Baruch College with an associate degree in business education in 1972, he joined The National Minority Business Council Inc. (NMBC). The nonprofit organization is well-regarded for constantly striving to expand the opportunities available to small, minority and women business owners. Mr. Robinson’s company notably seeks to promote equality and equity via various professional initiatives. The business offers a comprehensive range of services to numerous businesses throughout the United States, including business assistance, educational opportunities, seminars, training and purchase listings. To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Robinson received recognition from President Ronald Reagan in 1995. He was also honored by former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and former Governor Andrew Cuomo. Since joining the NMBC, Mr. Robinson has worked tirelessly to promote equality, unite communities and ensure exciting new opportunities are available for all. Christopher Swanson works to break down barriers in the fields of civil and social services. Through C-IMPACT, a coalition of nonprofits, he works with policymakers and fundraises to benefit research and education. He coordinates all fields at both the local and macro levels and provides a collaborative model for other nonprofits to join their network. Dr. Swanson studied journalism and teaching at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he realized his passion for teaching. After earning a BA, he pursued graduate education at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, receiving an MS and an EdD and joining the university’s staff as the director of technology for the Center for Technology in Education. While at Johns Hopkins University, he created the Institute for Innovation in Development, Engagement, and Learning Systems (IDEALS), which has grown to impact over 40 million individuals nationwide. Following a 15-year career with Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Swanson created C-IMPACT in 2023. Looking ahead, he strives to grow the organization into a sustained, healthy and vibrant hub for nonprofits on a global scale.
