282 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Dr. Guy Maytal is a physician and health care administrator who has dedicated his career to ensuring that patients at all stages of life receive compassionate and competent care. He holds a BA in history and chemistry from Harvard University and achieved an MD at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2002 . He went on to complete residencies in internal medicine and adult psychiatry and returned to Harvard for fellowships in bioethics and psychodynamic therapy, in addition to a fellowship in psychosomatic medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the DanaFarber Cancer Institute. Dr. Maytal began his clinical career in palliative care psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he served concurrently as director of primary and urgent care psychiatry for over a decade. He was named the hospital’s medical director of ambulatory psychiatry in 2016, departing two years later to join Weill Cornell Medicine as chief of integrated care and psychiatric oncology. Since 2023, he has served as chief of integrated care and psychiatric services at Forge Health, where he has helped establish working partnerships and internal programs that support the system’s mission to become one of the area’s leading providers of evidence-based behavioral health care. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Maytal is a former assistant professor at Harvard Medical School and the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. He remains courtesy faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine and has been recognized for his research excellence as a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Maytal credits his success to his genuine passion for health care and his commitment to serving others and he is proud to have established several specialized clinics serving patients with complex and co-occurring medical needs throughout his career.
