Van Sickle, MMS, PAC, established Remedi Health to address the pressing need for adequate women’s health care. She manages various aspects of her business, including staff supervision, administration and inventory management. As a physician assistant, she provides quality care and ensures her patients feel heard and understood during appointments. Furthermore, she orders labs and imaging for medications to lessen the financial burden on patients, in addition to educating others on various conditions, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She also sees male patients requiring assistance with low testosterone and cardiac health issues. Ms. Van Sickle holds a BS in pre-medicine from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and an MMS in physician assistant studies from Stony Brook University. Moving forward, she aims to expand Remedi Health and recruit additional medical professionals. She hopes to establish a women’s center equipped with a nutritionist, health coach and resources to support women through pre-menopause and menopause. Most importantly, she is committed to growing herself and her business in a manner that continues to prioritize high-quality care and support. OWNER, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT Remedi Health Golden, CO From a young age, Dr. Amit Varma has been inspired to dedicate his life to cardiology. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where he achieved a BS in biology, an MD, and a PhD in physiology and biophysics. Since 2015, he has served as an advanced heart failure cardiologist and the medical director of cardio-oncology at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. He is also currently pursuing an MBA in health care administration and management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Varma proudly completed his doctoral studies while he was also a fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University. This helped him to understand the scientific principles behind research with pharmaceutical companies and their clinical trials. He remains actively engaged in clinical trials, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to advancing the knowledge and treatment of cardiovascular disease. In the coming years, Dr. Varma hopes to obtain an administrative position at a hospital. This will enable him to bridge the gap between medicine and business within the health care industry and improve health care policy for future generations.
