In 2007, he was inducted into the Pennsylvania Police Hall of Fame. Inspired by his father’s career, Bruce L. Castor Jr. found his calling in law. During his undergraduate studies at Lafayette College, he secured an internship at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, which further ignited his passion for the legal field and prompted him to pursue several legal internships opportunities. After graduating from Lafayette College with a BA in government and law, Mr. Castor attended the Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he earned a JD in 1986. he was hired by Montgomery County, PA as an assistant district attorney in 1985. He went on to enjoy a long career with the county, serving as an ADA, deputy district attorney (chief of trials), first assistant district attorney, and twice elected district attorney and twice elected county commissioner, serving until 2016. He then became the solicitor general and acting attorney general of Pennsylvania and served the state often as a special prosecutor.
