422 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine TECHNOLOGY Edward L. McNachtan’s diverse career is a testament to the unique abilities he has developed over decades of experience. Having spent 30 years working alongside attorneys as the senior program manager of The Supreme Court of Ohio and the director of information technology for the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, he possesses valuable insight into how law is practiced. In addition to law, Mr. McNachtan has immersed himself in the world of engineers and developers through his work in information technology and holds a Master of Business Administration in organization and management from Capella University. After retiring from his position as the director of information technology for the Common Pleas Court in Montgomery County, Ohio, in 2023, Mr. McNachtan founded Provenia LLC. At 56, he felt he was too young to retire and strived to enter the business world. Through Provenia, he utilizes his unique skill set to offer innovative IT services to other businesses. Mr. McNachtan considers his most noteworthy accomplishment to be the creation of the Ohio Courts Network, a state-wide information system that has been implemented in Florida and Ohio. This system affects pretrial proceedings, probation, judiciary, judges and law enforcement on both a state and federal level, collecting crime data and sending it to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies. Mr. McNachtan considers this project to be his legacy, and he is proud of its impact on the justice system across the United States. In the future, Mr. McNachtan hopes to pursue his interest in technology further and focus his business on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Although he is still determining the future of Provenia, he is eager to offer fractional specialized information services to companies and broaden his offerings to encompass artificial intelligence.
