Williams is a strategic consultant with a wealth of expertise in business resilience systems and a diverse professional background. Inspired by her family’s military history, she began her professional journey by serving in the United States Army from 1983 to 1986. During her tenure, she specialized in missile munition systems, focusing on maintaining and troubleshooting crucial equipment, such as infrared systems, oscilloscopes, multimeters and other essential tools. This foundational experience honed her technical skills and instilled a disciplined and meticulous approach to problem-solving. After leaving the military, Ms. Williams briefly served as a deputy sheriff in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1988, she became a police officer at the Federal Reserve Bank. Over nearly 15 years, she worked in various locations for the business, including New Orleans and Los Angeles, California, ultimately ascending to the position of business continuity and contingency planner. In this role, she developed strategies to ensure operational resilience in the face of potential disruptions. Ms. Williams then implemented a national business continuity management system at Kaiser Permanente, served as a consulting contractor for Randstad Technologies USA, and acted as a business continuity management consultant for Providence St. Joseph Healthcare. In these roles, she created and implemented plans to mitigate risks and sustain business operations during crises. In 2022, she concluded a three-year tenure as the senior specialist in global business continuity at West Pharmaceutical Services, where she identified internal and external risks to the company and developed and exercised comprehensive business continuity plans to address environmental hazards, human-made incidents, and natural disasters. Ms. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Phoenix and is certified as a Project Management Professional, ISO Standard 22301 Lead Implementer, Certified Business Continuity Professional and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. In 2015, the National Association of Professional Women named her Woman of the Year for her industry contributions. Recognizing her capability for leadership, Ms. Williams recently established AWilliams LLC.
