Ferraro III is a financial services consultant and the chief executive officer of Semper Salutaris, a financial planning firm specializing in serving the needs of older adults. Before beginning his career in finance, Mr. Ferraro spent 12 years honorably serving in the United States Marine Corps, a period he considers to be formative to his dedication to helping others. He served four combat tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan and was granted a non-commissioned officer exception to become a combat marksmanship coach, eventually rising to lead the Second Maintenance Battalion marksmanship unit. He retired from the military heavily decorated for his service, having been recognized with a presidential unit citation, multiple two-star conduct medals and a National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Ferraro entered the insurance and finance sector in 2014 as a representative for MetLife and worked with MassMutual Great Lakes for two years before becoming a field director and financial adviser at Wealth Strategies Financial Group in 2018. He continued to gain specialized experience supporting seniors’ financial needs as a financial adviser for America’s Retirement Headquarters until 2022 when he created Semper Salutaris. The following year, Mr. Ferraro established Dedicated Insurance Strategies, a secondary firm focused on Medicare offerings and expanding the range of services at Semper Salutaris. Mr. Ferraro works directly with clients and specializes in working with the elderly, and he is proud to use his position in the community to benefit and educate others. He credits his success to his professional and academic mentors and the partnerships he has built throughout the industry and emphasizes the need for transparency and integrity in any financial role. A former varsity wrestler, Mr. Ferraro treasures the lessons that he learned as a student-athlete and hopes to give the same gift to others as a founding advisory board member of the University of Michigan’s Athletic Career Center.
