256 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY Thomas Edward Wilson is a United States Navy veteran and engineer with a career spanning more than five decades. He joined the Navy after graduating high school, beginning a 20-year activeduty career as an anti-submarine warfare operator. After retiring in 1990, he was recruited to the Naval Air Systems Command as a P-8 FMS chief engineer. In 2021, he was named chief engineer for the Australian Triton class desk, acting as a technical representative for a joint effort between the American and Australian militaries to build the world’s largest unmanned aircraft system (UAS). Mr. Wilson earned a Master of Science in systems engineering management and a Master of Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School as part of the exclusive PD21 recruitment program and has earned numerous awards for his service leadership. He emphasizes the value of commitment to one’s work and is proud to have mentored more than 200 engineers and officers throughout his career. In the coming years, he hopes to partner with underserved schools to encourage students to pursue careers in engineering.
