He began building his foundation by achieving a BSBA in finance and management at the University of South Carolina and an MBA at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He also holds both CFP® and ChFC® credentials. Mr. Bingel began his career working at AXA Advisors. From there, he joined Blackbaud, a computer software company located in Charleston that designs programs for nonprofits. During his time with the company, he worked in sales and support while earning an MBA. Afterward, he moved onto the Richland County Finance Department as a budget analyst in Columbia. However, Mr. Bingel continued to be drawn to the personal finance arena, so he decided to move back into the investment sector. He started with Wells Fargo, followed by working with Ameriprise and Truist Investments, where he worked for 10 years before settling into his current role with WealthPlan Financial Group in July 2023. Having transitioned from a successful tenure as a major dollar producer at Truist, Mr. Bingel aims to achieve similar success independently. To help not only meet but exceed this threshold, he is currently forming a partnership with another adviser. Together, they look to build a cohesive team by expanding their presence through the acquisitions of other practices. Additionally, Mr. Bingel looks to grow his practice by gaining insight through consulting and coaching. He participates in Cambridge’s Real Practice Management (RPM) program and seeks the guidance of a ProAdvisor coach. Mr. Bingel also remains active in his community. To wit, he is a member of Lexington Rotary, his church finance committee, and the PTO at his youngest daughter’s elementary school. By participating in his community, he aims to remain aware of local events, news and trends, which allows him to better serve his clients. GREGORY S.
