After earning a BA, summa cum laude, at Georgetown University, Mr. Mulvihill moved to Los Angeles, where he spent two years as a creative executive at Crusader Entertainment. Pursuing his desire to become a lawyer, he attended Columbia Law School and graduated with a JD in 2004. He began his legal career as an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and became a staff director of the United States Senate Subcommittee on Technology, Innovation, and Competitiveness the following year. He also served as senior counsel for the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. From 2007 to 2010, he was a legislative director and chief counsel in the United States Senate. Mr. Mulvihill is proud of his time as the chief operating officer, general counsel and head of government affairs for the American Investment Council (AIC). In this role, he oversaw legislative and regulatory advocacy, encompassing the international and federal levels. His leadership efforts helped preserve licenses to operate for private equity firms, private credit firms, and many private fund portfolio companies. Mr. Mulvihill played an instrumental role in saving billions of dollars for businesses worldwide. After 12 years, he left the AIC in 2022 and founded Capitol Asset Strategies, where he currently serves as president. Mr. Mulvihill aims to continue expanding his diverse expertise by leading at the intersection of financial services and government policy. He is passionate about helping his clients reach their full potential and plans to continue working on challenging projects. Beyond his professional endeavors, he remains dedicated to his family, including his wife, Christina, and their two fantastic children, Reagan and Thatcher. Jason D.
