Rather than let her struggles hold her back, she pushes forward with a positive outlook. Ms. Rancourt credits her success to her mother and father, who has served as a source of inspiration for her since childhood. Ms. Rancourt considers her most notable achievement to be receiving her medical laboratory scientist certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) immediately after earning her bachelor’s degree. In addition to the ASCP, she is a member of The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. In the coming years, Ms. Rancourt hopes to become a manager or a supervisor in her field. She is dedicated to her career and looks forward to where the future may take her. With a career spanning nearly 15 years, Amy E. Rancourt has overcome many obstacles to achieve success in the field of medical laboratory science. She developed a passion for health care at a young age. While attending Bristol Community College, Ms. Rancourt discovered the clinical laboratory science department and earned an associate degree in clinical laboratory science in 2005. She returned to school in 2014 to obtain a Bachelor of Science in medical laboratory science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Ms. Rancourt began working as a licensed practical nurse in 2010, serving at the Highlander Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for a year. She then contributed as an EPIC health records consultant for Optimum Healthcare IT and as a member of the relief staff at The Women’s Center. From 2017 to 2022, Ms. Rancourt took on the role of medical technologist at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. In 2024, she accepted a position as a medical technologist at Tufts Medical Center.
