ASSOCIATE DIVISION CHIEF FOR STATUTORY PROGRAMS National Institute of Standards and Technology Lawrence, KS For over four decades, Pamela S. Norris has been providing disaster and humanitarian relief by working with major emergency response organizations, such as The Red Cross and The Salvation Army. Through her experiences, she identified two critical gaps in disaster response: the need for individuals to keep medications requiring refrigeration cold, and the need for kosher and halal certified products for those with specific religious requirements. To address these gaps, Ms. Norris established ICEBUDDY SYSTEMS LLC. The company created the ICEBUDDY System, a revolutionary portable cooling system that can preserve medications for up to three days without electricity. This innovation is uniquely kosher and halal certified. Ms. Norris’ corporate leadership showcases great analytical thought, theoretical insight, critical thinking and strategic planning. She attributes her achievements to the excellent education she received at Tufts University and Clark Atlanta University. Moving forward, her mission is to make ICEBUDDY SYSTEMS LLC products, which are manufactured in the USA, accessible to communities worldwide. Her goal is to positively impact over a billion lives.
