As a pioneer in the field of family business consulting, David Bork has built a solid foundation forhis consulting firm, Family Business Matters. In 1968, he started a consulting practice and met with his first client — a family business in turmoil. To better serve his clientele, he sought to delve deeper into intimate relationships and business, consulting social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists for assistance. At Family Business Matters, Mr. Bork offers strategies to improve family businesses through the Family Systems Approach, which helps develop constructive interpersonal behaviors and financial practices. Prior to his work in consulting, he spent four years as an educator. In addition to his many years of experience, Mr. Bork holds a BA in mathematics and a BS in medical microbiology and bacteriology from the University of Minnesota.
