Echols is a leader with a career record of success in the United States Army, state government, and business and nonprofit sectors. He brings a wealth of experience to his current position as the chief executive officer of Renaissance Community & Public Relations LLC. In this role, he is engaged in workforce development initiatives, second-chance hiring for “returning citizens” from incarceration, and minority business development and entrepreneurship. Having previously pursued a higher education, Mr. Echols holds a BA in political science (public service) from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mr. Echols is proud to have honorably served in the United States Army Security Agency during the Vietnam War. He ultimately served for 25 years with the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve and the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He also served as a race relations facilitator with the U.S. Army in Europe. Adjacent to his other duties, he was an equal opportunity officer and executive director for the Oklahoma Human Rights Commission and a director for the HOPE Mentoring Program and Kansas Department for Children and Families.
