In 2001, he cofounded Seismic Source Co. (SSC) and its sister company, International Seismic Co. (iSeis), serving as a manufacturing coordinator and senior design engineer for both businesses. Prior to starting his own venture, he worked as a senior design engineer for the Pelton Company from 1990 to 2001. Mr. Benton holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, and his expertise contributes significantly to the technological advancements and operational efficiency of the equipment produced by SSC and iSeis. He plays a crucial design role at the firm, with a portfolio of projects including a dynamite shooter and key components integral to the functionality of pumper truck controllers. Looking ahead, Mr. Benton remains committed to enhancing the company’s offerings by expanding its product line and innovating new designs. As an established professional with a long record of success, he envisions a gradual transition into semi-retirement over the next decade and hopes to pursue a wide range of new projects. Candace M. Childers is a United States Navy veteran and manufacturing executive celebrating nearly a decade of success with Alcon. She spent nine years in the Navy, earning a BS at the United States Naval Academy and an MS in computer science at the Naval Postgraduate School before leaving the service as a lieutenant. Additionally, she holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and an MS in legal studies from Cornell University. After leaving the military, Ms. Childers joined Alcon, taking advantage of their rotational leadership training program. She served as a manufacturing production supervisor in their Houston facility before working in Ireland as a senior quality engineering manager. From 2021 until 2023, she served as the quality site head in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, where she used her diverse operational expertise to introduce a risk-based approach to manufacturing that saved more than $2 million annually.
