He holds a BS in exercise and sports with a minor in biology and entered the landscaping industry to help support his studies. While still a student, he launched his own company and quickly developed a reputation for excellence that carried Rainbow Lawn & Landscape to become a trusted provider of landscaping services. In addition to his work with Rainbow Lawn & Landscape, Mr. McGee expanded his entrepreneurial repertoire by building a portfolio of real estate investments. Throughout his career as a business owner, he cultivated habits of seeking advice and input from other professionals and remaining open to learning from their expertise. This approach set him apart from many other business leaders, and he underscores the power of maintaining a humble attitude and lifelong learning ethos to other would-be entrepreneurs and leaders. After health concerns forced him to wind down his involvement in Rainbow Lawn & Landscape, Mr. McGee turned his focus to writing. He found lifelong comfort and inspiration in his Christian faith, and after a period of loss that saw both his sister and close friend pass away unexpectedly, he felt called to write a memoir of his life and spiritual journeys. Though initially hesitant to write, he quickly found a talent for storytelling and communication that set the stage for the next phase of his career and life. Mr. McGee published his first book, “God Hasn’t Forgotten You,” in 2009, and he has since continued to write, releasing his most recent project, an updated edition of “Treasures of Darkness,” in 2023. “Treasures of Darkness” has received significant attention and won several awards, including a Gold Seal of Excellence from the U.S. Review of Books. Its most recent edition has been expanded to include insights from more recent developments in Mr. McGee’s faith journey and the last 15 years of his work as a writer.
